KFC moist towlettes were never like this

Our St Uriel's service last night saw Father Tim delve into an exploration of the concept of God as Light in terms of awareness. Our ability to tune into our perceptions, to bring Light to them, allows us to forgive both ourselves, and others, in that moment of awareness. The calling to mind of our transgressions at the beginning of our Liturgy service performs at least two important functions -
1. we clear our mind-map space to allow for the receiving of the Christ sacrament, and so, on a weekly basis are instilled with somewhat pure intent to be of service to, and awake to, the Divine;

2. through calling these transgressions to mind, we can perform a bit of Isis transmutation on them, in the re-membering act. Re-membering, re-calling, re-noticing the parts of our behaviour that appear less than attractive in hindsight can serve as a spotlight, an awareness that perhaps would require a different response from ourselves next time and/or forgiveness of others when we witness a behaviour that appears inordinately similar to our own misconduct. It's not a dim, dark, never to be revisited or re-comprehended corner that we cast our sins into in the moment of reconciliation, more so, by attending to their presence we can be reminded that next time, in the same situation, it is indeed possible to choose a different path of behaviour.

A two image blog post. Wow. But I'm doing a fin de siecle revival at the moment, and this is somewhat pretty...
