Aubrey Beardsley
I've missed the anniversary of his passing on 16 March, a little, but it would be remiss of me not to make some sort of tribute post, to Aubrey Beardsley, the erotic artist, particularly as I begin research on erotic capital. It is profoundly worth checking out the Youtube footage, for a collection of his Grotesques, and for the Nyman piece, Prospero's Magic. Drink deep, even of the Eucharist wine (a Catholic convert, was he) and be sated.
